12 senators tally perfect attendance in sessions

Twelve senators have tallied a perfect attendance in 54 Senate sessions from July 24 last year until February 21, 2024.
Meanwhile, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano emerged as the member of the chamber with the most absences.
According to the data on senators attendance provided by the Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau, the following senators have attended all Senate sessions during the said dates:
-Senate President Zubiri
-Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda
-Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva
-Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros
-Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa
-Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada
-Senator Sherwin Gatchalian
-Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go
-Senator Robin Padilla
-Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla
-Senator Raffy Tulfo
-Senator Cynthia Villar
Senators with absences were:
-Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, 14 absences, four official missions
-Senator Nancy Binay, six absences, three official missions
-Senator Sonny Angara, five absences
-Senator Francis Escudero, five absences, two official missions
-Senator Grace Poe, three absences
-Senator Imee Marcos, two absences
-Senator Pia Cayetano, one absence, six official missions
-Senator Francis Tolentino, one absence, six official missions
The following senators did not register perfect attendance only due to local and foreign official missions:
-Senator JV Ejercito with two
-Senator Lito Lapid with three
-Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III with three
-Senator Mark Villar with two
In a statement, Zubiri said the records show the senators’ “commitment to our duty by being here most of the session days.”
“Public service is a reward in itself, but we go to work knowing that our presence and our voices represent the people’s interests,” the Senate chief added.
