More than 100 college students in the Bangsamoro Region each received cash grants worth P10,000 to support their pursuit of higher education.

The Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) on Monday distributed a cash grant worth P10,428 to 114 students as a stipend for September and October 2023. 

At least 100 beneficiaries received P5,214 each under the Bangsamoro Government Internship Program (BGIP) while 50 Overseas Bangsamoro Workers (OBW) dependents received  Php20,000 each under the OBW Educational Cash Assistance Program.

In a statement, MOLE Administrative Assistant IV Gary Alix expressed gratitude to  Minister Datu Muslimin Sema and Bangsamoro Director-General Datu Surap Abutasil Jr. for supporting the BGIP.

The BGIP aims to facilitate gainful employment for fresh college graduates and equip them with the necessary skills and experience for their job search efforts.—RF, GMA Integrated News
