MANILA, Philippines — The official Facebook page of the Valenzuela City police was hacked, city police chief Col. Salvador Destura announced yesterday.
In a statement, Destura said that updates and announcements would be temporarily posted on the Facebook page of the Valenzuela City police station public information office until the original account is recovered.
“As of the moment, the administrators do not have access to the account. We urge the public to refrain from engaging with the hacked account,” Destura said.
The Facebook page began sharing lewd videos on Monday night, a development that raised concerns among followers and the public.
The videos remained visible on the police station’s Facebook page yesterday.
