Two women nabbed for pimping loved ones online

Police arrested two women for allegedly pimping young family members online, Cyril Chaves of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao reported on 24 Oras.

In Barangay Santiago, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, authorities nabbed a woman who, aside from allegedly selling lewd photos of her sister and three other female relatives– all minors– , also “promotes” them via live streaming.

“Foreign referral ito ‘yung mga counterparts natin sa UK ay sila yung naka-intercept sa mga nude pictures at videos nitong mga bata. Itong suspek natin dalawa o tatlong beses na may pumunta rito nakipag meet up sa kanya itong mga foreigners na ito,” said Women and Children Protection Center Mindanao Field Unit, Officer-In-Charge Police Lieutenant Colonel Mario Baqiran Jr.

(These are foreign referrals from our counterparts in the United Kingdom; they are the ones who intercepted the nude pictures and videos of these children. On two or three occasions, foreigners have met up with the suspect.)

The four victims were taken to the City Social Welfare and Development Office, while the suspect is now in the custody of the Gingoog City Police Station.

In another operation in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, police nabbed a woman allegedly involved in online prostitution.

Six minors, identified as the suspect’s siblings, were rescued from a residence.
