Filipinos don’t need to be probinsya-bound to know all about our alamat and mga sabi-sabi. Whether you believe in them as fact or not, sharing folklore and myths, passing them down from generation to generation is one way we stay connected to our roots, understand our ancestors’ values, and keep our rich cultural heritage alive. This summer, HaloHalo’s ready-to-wear line GoodTimes takes on the role of storyteller with the ethereal Diyosa as the star.

Just like their nostalgia-inspired, Anthony Nazareno-designed store in Rockwell, “Everything we put out there is meant to be shared and enjoyed with others,” says Cara Sumabat, one half of the sibling duo behind the brand with brother Rocco.

GoodTimes by HaloHalo’s Diyosa enchants in draped silk dyed in nature’s palette.

BORGY ANGELES

Draped completely in silk in the palette of the untouched lagoons of our islands, Diyosa is designed “to make you feel like a goddess,” allowing the fabric to cascade the figure, its hem swaying with your every move. And when drenched in water, it clings without weighing you down. Adjustable straps allow you to transform a dressy maxi into a more relaxed midi, or style it as you please.
