Operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a man in Baliuag, Bulacan for allegedly selling pedophilic photos online.
According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras” Friday, Australian counterparts of the NBI alarmed authorities about the suspect who was also identified as the alleged source of an Australian national arrested in Thailand for possessing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).
“Dalawa yung batang biktima dito, isang pamangkin at isang kapitbahay. Kapag wala yung auntie, yung subject natin ang ginagawa niya doon niya kinukunan ng malalaswang larawan o video yung kanyang pamangkin,” said NBI Human Trafficking Division Chief Olga Gonzales-Angustia.
(There are 2 young victims here. One was his nephew while the other was his neighbor. He takes the video and photos whenever the aunt is not around.)
“Merong mga nakuhang sex toys in possession doon sa kwarto nung subject,” she added.
(We also recovered sex toys in his room.)
The suspect admitted to the accusations.
“Kinalat ko yung picture ng mga bata. Pasensya na sa mga nagawa ko. Di ko na uulitin,” he said.
(I sold the children’s photos online. I apologize for that. I won’t do it again.)
Multiple charges including violation of the Republic Act (RA) No. 11930 or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) law will be filed against the suspect.
He underwent inquest proceedings and will be transferred to the detention facility at the New Bilibid Prison, the NBI said.
“Kakasuhan natin ng RA 9208 o yung tinatawag natin na Human Trafficking law, as amended by the expanded Trafficking law, and then yung OSAEC law natin ang RA 7610 o child abuse,” said Gonzales-Angustia.
