Authorities are searching for a five-year old girl in Angeles City, Pampanga who was last seen with an unidentified man, Oscar Oida reported on 24 Oras on Tuesday.
Th child, Margaux Alliyah Dela Cruz, “Ally” has been missing since Sunday, March 17, 2024.
On the day that she disappeared, Ally was staying at her grandmother’s house in Barangay Balibago.
“Humihingi po siya ng pagkain, ngayon sabi ko sandali mag-sasangag ako. Nakita ko pa siya naglalaro pa diyan. Nung may itinapon akong kapirasong plastic sa basurahan napansin ko bukas yung gate. Tinawag ko walang sumasagot sa akin. Pagsilip ko wala, tiningnan ko lahat ng kwarto hanggang sa ilalim ng lamesa, sa banyo,” said Teresita dela Cruz, Ally’s grandmother.
(She was asking for food, so I said I would cook for a while. I saw her still playing there. When I threw a piece of plastic in the trash, I noticed the gate was open. I called her, but no one answered me. When I peeked, she was not there; I also looked in all the rooms, even under the table and in the bathroom.)
In CCTV footage, Ally was seen running around the area, even crawling up a footbridge.
Ally was later seen being carried by a man wearing a facemask and a hat, which he placed on Ally. He was also carrying an umbrella.
“Based on the footages ng CCTV, isinakay yung bata ng isang lalaki kumuha sa bata, naisakay sa jeep papunta doon sa Station 1. From there, may binabaan na isang place ulit sumakay ulit doon. Nagba-back ulit kami ng CCTV kung saan niya dinala yung bata,” said Police Major Vicky Tamayo, Station Commander, Angeles City Police Station 4.
(Based on the CCTV footage, the child was taken by a man who rode a jeepney going to Station 1. From there, they got off in one place again and transferred to another jeepney. We’re backtracking the CCTV to see where he took the child.)
Tamayo vowed that the authorities would not stop their search for the little girl.
“Kung maganda intensyon niya baka yung bata nakita niya naglalakad walang kasama, pwede pong paki sauli po sa malapit na police station o barangay,” Tamayo said in a message directed to the man who has Ally.
Meanwhile, Ally’s mother, Helen, has been very anxious for days due to her child’s disappearance.
“Malungkot sobra po. Ang sakit po kasi maliit pa po yung anak ko di pa po niya kayang anuhin yung sarili. Kaya po nagmamakaawa po ako kung sino makakita sa anak ko sana ibalik po. Masakit po mawala anak ko,” she said.
(I’m very sad. It hurts too much because my daughter is very young. She can’t look after herself yet, so I’m begging the person who found my daughter. Please bring her back; it hurts to lose my child.)
“’Yung bata po di siya katulad ng normal na bata medyo delayed siya sa personality niya tsaka may bali siya sa binti kaya nag-aalala po kami sa kanya,” said Herminia, Ally’s aunt.
(That child is not like a normal child, she is a bit delayed in her personality and has a broken leg, so we are very worried for her.)—Sherylin Untalan/RF, GMA Integrated News
