MANILA, Philippines — Hotdog is undeniably a favorite for many as it is easy to prepare and goes well with both rice and bread. Its taste can be elevated with sauces and dips.
While catsup or the combination of catsup and mayonnaise are favorite sauces or dips, it’s about time to spice up the hotdog dressing game with two surprise ingredients that work well with the creamy mayonnaise.
At the recent Best Foods’ Mayo Magic One Liter pack launch, online personalities Chef Marky and Nina Bacani headed a workshop that tested the recently launched product by Unilever Food Solutions.
The participants were challenged to prepare dishes with easy-to-follow recipes that use the product that is said to be cost-effective for many business owners.
Being double-whipped, the Mayo Magic One-Liter pack has a thicker, creamier and more heat stable formulation than its previous recipe. Its new packaging also notes lower GHG and carbon footprint with its sustainable design and use.
Participants were able to finish the one-liter pack with two servings of the six dishes prepared, and the Pickle Mustard Hotdog Dressing is one of them.
INGREDIENTS:
100g Best Foods Mayo Magic
20g classic yellow mustard
20g pickle relish
1g smoked paprika
10ml water
10g white sugar
5g Parmesan cheese powder
PROCEDURE:
1. Mix water, white sugar and Parmesan cheese powder in one bowl.
2. Pour other ingredients in a non-reactive bowl. Using a wire whisk, mix well until all ingredients are well-incorporated.
Tip: Use freshly baked buns and cooked all-American hotdog. Pipe dressing on top, add some chopped pineapple and onions and then add some bacon bits on top.
