The impairment charges were in relation to Service Contract (SC)74 Linapacan located in Northwestern Palawan, but were offset by changes in decommission estimates in SC 14C-2 West Linapacan.
In a filing, PXP Energy said it booked a core net loss of around P42.50 million in 2023, also wider than the P22-million loss of the previous year, on lower margins from the Galoc oil field operations, increase in overhead costs and higher interest expense.
