The Philippine Coast Guard responded to a 16-year-old victim who collapsed due to the heat in Marinduque on Saturday.
According to a statement, the victim collapsed because of the heat at the shoreline of Barangay Buliasnin, Boac, Marinduque.
PCG Marinduque responded to the victim, who they found while conducting a patrol.
The victim was given first aid and quickly transported to the Marinduque Provincial Hospital.
PAGASA, on Saturday, said dangerous heat indexes were expected in at least 11 different parts of the country.
The state weather bureau advised the public to limit outdoor activity, remain hydrated, and use protective gear during the peak of heat in the country. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
