Valenzuela expedites release of license plates
VALENZUELA City has launched Valenzuela Plaka Express (ValPLEX), a scheme to hasten the release of vehicle license plates to residents.
Approved by the city council, it would be implemented in partnership with the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
"Implemented in coordination with the Office of Councilor Sel Sabino-Sy and in collaboration with the LTO, ValPLEX aims to eliminate long delays in the issuance of license plates for motorists," said Mayor Weslie Gatchalian.
Initially focused on government-owned vehicles, the scheme now covers private and public utility vehicles in the city.
During Wednesday's launch, 2,761 license plates were released to members of tricycle operators and drivers associations.
