Suspect in custody after Huntington Hospital emergency room on lockdown following ‘credible threat’
A suspect was taken into custody on Friday, March 14 after Huntington Hospital went on at least a partial lockdown following what was deemed to be a credible threat, officials said.
The person was apprehended by 6:40 p.m., Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian said. The lockdown was expected to be lifted shortly after that.
The emergency room of the hospital was placed on lockdown earlier on Friday, but it was unknown if the rest of the hospital was locked down, as well, Derderian said.
All ambulances were diverted to other hospitals in the area.
The Pasadena Police Department is investigating. Specifics regarding the content of the threat and how it was made have not been provided.
It was not clear if the person was arrested, or detained. Nor were any details about the person arrested immediately known.
This is a developing story. More information will be added when it becomes available.
