135 women hired instantly at Pasay job fair
THE "Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan Para Kay Juana" job fair held on March 7 at the Cuneta Astrodome in celebration of Women's Month instantly hired at least 135 female workers.
Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano said that 425 out of 631 job seekers who came to the employment fair were women, and 135 of them were able to secure jobs, proving how well the event worked to match job seekers with companies.
"Providing job opportunities for our citizens, especially women, is a priority of our administration. We are committed to empowering women by giving them the means to achieve financial independence," the mayor said.
The local government also provides aid for 200 single mothers under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (Tupad) program.
