Ogie Alcasid is hoping to have reunion with the former members of the Kapuso variety show “SOP,” which aired from 1997 to 2010.

In an interview aired on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Thursday, the veteran singer-songwriter said they can perform together on the “It’s Showtime” stage now that the noontime show is airing on GMA Network’s main channel.

“Maganda magsama-sama kami for a great production number, we can relive the old SOP days, that would be nice,” he said.

“Maybe andyan sina Jolina [Magdangal], sina Janno [Gibbs], Regine [Velasquez], Jaya. Maybe gawin ko ‘yun sa birthday ko,” he said.

Previously, the “It’s Showtime” stage has witnessed the reunion of OG “Encantadia” Sang’gres Karylle, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, and Diana Zubiri.

Ogie and Karylle had a homecoming of sorts when the noontime show signed a new contract with GMA Network at the Studio 7 on Wednesday.

GMA executives warmly welcomed the “It’s Showtime” hosts and ABS-CBN executives expressed their gratitude to the Kapuso network for the historic occasion. Vice Ganda also delivered a touching impromptu speech.

It’s Showtime” will start airing on GMA’s noontime slot on April 6. It will also continue to be aired on GTV and will be available on GMA Pinoy TV.
