A migrant workers’ desk has formally opened at the City College of San Fernando in Pampanga to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the city.

According to San Fernando City Information Office, the help desk was launched to provide assistance not only to OFWs but to their relatives as well.

Through the help desk, the services of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) will be brought closer to the OFWs and their families in the city, the information office said.

This will be benefitial for OFWs who are completing their documenatary requirements, enrolling in government programs and airing their concerns, it added.

Through the help desk, the OFWs may arrange their affairs under the following programs:

  • Social Benefits
  • Welfare Assistance Program
  • Educational and Training Assistance
  • Workers Welfare Assistance Program
  • Social Service and Family Welfare Service
  • Reintegration Program: “Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program”, OFW-Enterprise Development Loan Program, TULONG PUSO (Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng Samahang OFWs) program

The Migrant Workers’ Help Desk is located at the ground floor of the City College Building and is open on Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/KBK, GMA Integrated News
