The cost of damage to infrastructure following the flooding and landslide incidents in Mindanao has reached over P2 billion, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
In its situational report as of 8 a.m. on Saturday, the NDRRMC said the estimated cost of damage to infrastructure in Regions 10, 11, and CARAGA has reached P2,627,027,756.
CARAGA was the most affected with P2,361,409,631 worth of damage.
Further, a total of 4,822 damaged houses were reported in the said regions.
Damage to agriculture meanwhile remained at P558 million.
In the Maco, Davao de Oro 98 individuals have been confirmed dead in a landslide while 22 more people died due to floods.
Families affected by the combined effects of the Northeast Monsoon and the trough of low pressure area (LPA) remained at more than 471,000, or 1.5 million individuals in Regions 10, 11, 12, CARAGA and BARMM.
Of the number, 4,007 families or 14,851 persons were served inside 63 evacuation centers and 68,857 families or 173,805 persons were served outside evacuation centers.
A total of P 267,321,100.43 worth of assistance was provided in Regions 10, 11 and CARAGA. —Jamil Santos/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
