MGC-New Life Christian Academy ruled the Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association Season 11 juniors basketball tourney after defeating St. Stephen’s High School in overtime in Game 3 of the finals, 75-68, at the Uno High School in Manila.
Adam Uy led the New Lifers in completing the come-from-behind victory as he posted 24 points, nine in the extra period, and five rebounds en route to the win.
Adrian Tan, meanwhile, had 14 points and 11 boards, while Karl Bryan Yue had 12 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists as the New Lifers bagged their second overall PCYAA title and ended a seven-year drought.
Josh Cedrick Ong paced St. Stephen with 20 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
