President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday offered prayers for Catherine, Britain’s Princess of Wales, after she disclosed that her major abdominal surgery in January led to the discovery of her cancer.

In a post on X, Marcos also prayed for the strength of Catherine’s family during the difficult time.

”The Filipino people have Catherine, the Princess of Wales, in our thoughts and prayers throughout this challenging time. We pray for her good health and continued healing, and for the strength of her family during this difficult period,” Marcos said.

Catherine has said she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after tests done following her major abdominal surgery revealed cancer had been present.

The 42-year-old wife of heir to the throne Prince William called the cancer discovery a “huge shock.” The news came as a fresh health blow to the British royal family as King Charles is also undergoing treatment for cancer.

Catherine’s statement via a video message, which was filmed at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, triggered an outpouring of support from well-wishers.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
