Manhunt on for road rage suspect

MANILA, Philippines — Police are looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) who allegedly threatened another motorist with a handgun during a traffic altercation in Quezon City on Thursday.

The road rage suspect, whom police have yet to identify, was driving a white Mitsubishi Montero SUV with license plate UUO 699 when he nearly hit another vehicle near the Quezon Memorial Circle at around 9:30 a.m.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 36-year-old man who was with his family, told police investigators the suspect pursued him at the corner of Quezon Avenue, pulled out a handgun and pointed it in his direction.

Fearing for the safety of his family, the victim sped off but he managed to take a picture of the vehicle’s license plate.

The Masambong police station has coordinated with the Land Transportation Office to verify the owner of the SUV.
