A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit southeast General Luna town, Surigao del Norte early Wednesday morning, PHIVOLCS reported. The quake, which occurred at 12:06 a.m. and was tectonic in origin, at the depth of 20 kilometers. There are no expected damages from the quake, PHIVOLCS added.
