Karylle grateful for GMA’s warm welcome of ‘It’s Showtime’: ‘Marami kaming napagdaanan’

“Unang Hirit” had a morning treat for the Madlang Kapuso on Friday — Karylle was their special guest!

The guesting comes after “It’s Showtime” debuted on GMA’s main noontime slot.

“Ang sarap isipin na ang imposible naging posible,” Karylle said on the development.

She said that she and her fellow hosts only have “gratitude, pagpapasalamat.”

“Kasi maraming kaming napagdaanan,” she said. “‘Yung mga time na ‘di namin alam saan pupunta… ‘di tiyak.”

“Grabe ‘yung pagpapasalamat namin,” she added. “I think dahil nga saya saya ng nangyayari gusto namin gawin ang best namin. Ano bang pwede natin gawin, anong pwede nating ipakita?”

During the grand debut last Saturday, Karylle sang “Black Magic” with Anne Curtis and Kim Chiu.

The episode was a top-rater, earning a solid 6.8% rating on GMA Network’s main channel while registering a 9.7% from combined overnight data of channels GTV, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel and Jeepney TV. This is according to Nielsen Philippines NUTAM People Ratings.

It also set the internet abuzz and had many trending moments.
