Juan Gomez de Liaño will not be seeing action for the Seoul SK Knights when they compete in the East Asia Super League (EASL) Final Four in the country after the Filipino import underwent a season-ending surgery on his finger.

Seoul is pitted against another KBL club in Anyang Jung Kwan Jang, which will be bannered by fellow Filipino reinforcement Rhenz Abando, who recently recovered from multiple injuries late last year

Unfortunately, though, the two Filipino ballers will not be able to square off in front of the home crowd as Anyang and Seoul battle it out on Friday at the Hoops Dome in Cebu while the Chiba Jets and New Taipei Kings collide at 8 p.m.

The former UP standout last saw action in the EASL during Seoul’s 81-80 escape against the Meralco Bolts last December 27 at the Philsports Arena. He dropped four points and one assist in almost five minutes of action.

The SK Knights topped Group B with a 4-2 win-loss record.
