Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo are set to star in upcoming romantic comedy film titled “Everything About My Wife.”
According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Monday, the movie is the Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian film.
“Masaya siya kahit na tungkol siya sa mag-asawang nag-aaway,” Dennis said about the film’s story.
“Pinamigay niya ‘yung asawa niya,” Jennylyn added.
“Everything About My Wife” will be Dennis and Jennylyn’s first project together as husband and wife. The couple, who got married in 2021, last worked together in “I Can See You: Truly, Madly, Deadly” back in 2020.
The Kapuso Drama King said Jennylyn helped him adjust to working on a romcom, a genre he has not dabbled that much in his career.
“Nung umpisa medyo nangangapa ako dahil hindi ako sanay gumawa ng mga light na project,” Dennis said. “S’yempre sinusuportahan naman ako nung asawa ko, queen of romcom.”
“Hindi naman niya kailangan sa totoong buhay,” Jennylyn was quick to add, as Dennis has actually been showing his light side on his TikTok videos.
Dennis is a certified TikTok sensation last year, earning a wide following for his funny videos and self-deprecating punchlines.
Jennylyn previously revealed that Dennis hides in their bathroom to shoot his videos, but she is happy that her husband is showing a different side of him to the fans.
“Natutuwa ako na nashe-share na niya sa mga tao gamit ‘yung TikTok, at least maraming natutuwa sa kanya, nae-enjoy ‘yung mga videos niya at ‘yung creative side niya nilalabas niya,” the Ultimate Star said.
Jennylyn currently stars in GMA Prime series “Love. Die. Repeat,” which is now on its last week. It airs weekdays at 8:50 p.m. after “Black Rider.”
Dennis, meanwhile, has been revealed to be the antagonist of upcoming historical action series “Pulang Araw,” which will star Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.
