Jake Ejercito and Andi Eigenmann may have long separated but it seems the actor has maintained a close relationship with Andi’s mom, the late Jaclyn Jose.
On social media, Jake shared an old message from the veteran actress, who was praising him for his acting performance in one of his teleseryes.
“You are doing well,” Jaclyn began. “Merry galing! Pinapanood ko you are doing so well. Congrats! Job well done!”
Jake shared the screenshot without any caption and it seems netizens understood his message. On Facebook, it’s already generated more than 10K reactions.
Previously, Jake wrote a heartfelt tribute to Jaclyn, saying “he wouldn’t have survived early years of fatherhood without her.”
He also shared a screenshot of Jaclyn’s message to him, calling him “son.”
Jake is the father of Ellie, Jaclyn’s granddaughter from Andi.
The former couple has a co-parenting set-up that allows them to openly communicate for Ellie.
Jake and Ellie were among those who first paid their respects at Jaclyn’s wake.
Born Mary Jane Guck, the award-winning actress died on March 2 at 60 years old, due to a heart attack.
Jaclyn’s death was first announced by her agency, PPL Entertainment on Sunday evening. Her family, through the Philippine National Police, said that there was no foul play involved.
In 2016, Jose won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her mesmerizing performance in Brillante Mendoza’s “Ma’Rosa.”
On Wednesday, the organization paid tried to Jaclyn, saying “she illuminated this beautiful portrait of a woman, embodying it with grace and humanity.”
Jose’s other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as “The Flor Contemplacion Story” and “Patay Na Si Hesus.”
She also starred in several GMA Network series, including “Marimar,” “The Millionaire’s Wife,” and “D’Originals.”
Celebrities and industry colleagues are mourning the award-winning actress and have paid tribute to her on social media.
