The road to the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup will start on Thursday as the first window of the qualifiers open.

A total of 24 teams pooled into six groups of four will compete in three windows to advance to the FIBA Asia Cup next year.

Gilas Pilipinas is part of Group B along with Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, and New Zealand.

Only the top two teams will advance to the final tournament, while the six third-placers will undergo another round to get the last four places allotted. 

In the 2022 edition of the FIBA Asia Cup, the Philippines finished ninth after falling to Japan in the qualifiers for the quarters, 102-81

Tim Cone will handle the national men’s basketball team and the February window of the qualifiers will have:
