In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Film Center of the University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) is set to screen the multi-awarded GMA Pictures film “Firefly.”
UPFI will be screening the Zig Dulay film on the following dates:
- March 11, 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- March 13, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.;
- March 19, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
“Firefly” was an official entry to 2023’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), where it won Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Child Performer awards.
It stars Euwenn Mikaell, Alessandra De Rossi, Dingdong Dantes, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Epy Quizon, and Yayo Aguila. The film follows the story of TonTon (Euwenn), who searches for the mythical island described in his mother’s stories.
