GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon is among the 20 new inductees to receive a star in the 19th Eastwood City Walk of Fame ceremony Wednesday night, eight of whom are from the Kapuso Network.

Inducted for the television category, Gozon said having a star at the Walk of Fame is a “privilege.”

“I am very very proud, and privileged to have this Walk of Fame,” he said during his speech at the unveiling ceremony on Wednesday night, during which he was accompanied by his daughter, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, who is GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and President and CEO of GMA Films.

In December, Gozon retired as CEO of GMA Network, which he led to becoming the number 1 TV station in the country. Under his leadership, GMA Network bagged a number of achievements, including four prestigious George Peabody Awards.

Aside from Gozon, Miss Universe 2024 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee, Sparkle consultant Johnny Manahan, DZBB Super Radyo news anchor Joel Reyes Zobel, Sparkle actress Sanya Lopez, “Abot Kamay na Pangarap” star Richard Yap and GMA Network Showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago got their own Walk of Fame stars.

OPM bands Rivermaya and The Dawn were also recognized on the special night, along side Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

The Walk of Fame is an initiative of the German Moreno Walk of Fame Foundation (formerly the Walk of Fame Gallery and Museum), a non-profit organization founded by the late German Moreno. It honors distinguished personalities from different industries for their contributions to the society.
