Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024: ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ wins Anime of the Year, ‘Suzume’ is Best Film

Anime streaming platform Crunchyroll recently held its annual anime awards in Tokyo, Japan.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” bagged a total of 11 awards, including the top honor of the evening as Anime of the Year for its Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc.

The popular dark fantasy action series also won Best Action, Best Character Design, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Opening Sequence, and Best Ending Sequence.

Meanwhile, famous character Satoru Gojo was hailed as the Best Supporting Character and Yuuichi Nakamura won Best Voice Actor Performance in Japanese for the role.

Meanwhile, “Suzume no Tojimari” was hailed as the Best Film. The movie is directed by Makoto Shinkai, who also helmed “Your Name” and “Weathering With You.”
