The Creamline Cool Smashers overcame the Farm Fresh Foxies, 34-36, 25-23, 25-22, 25-15, to open their campaign in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Tots Carlos posted 19 points on 17 attacks, while Jema Galanza had 15 points for the Cool Smashers.
Trisha Tubu led the Foxies with 19 points, while Kate Santiago had 11 points.
Earlier, Cignal spoiled Grethcel Soltones and Ced Domingo’s Akari debut as the HD Spikers won 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-18.
Vanie Gandler had 19 points, while Roselyn Doria and Ces Molina had 16 points apiece for Cignal.
Soltones had 14 points, while Dindin Manabat had 12 points for the Chargers. Domingo, meanwhile, was limited to two points.
In the first game, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers swept the Strong Group Athletics, 25-12, 25-17, 25-19 to notch their second win. Strong Group, meanwhile, went down to 0-2.
