Former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson has offered a P100,000 reward to the MMDA traffic enforcers who apprehended his convoy which used the EDSA Busway on Monday.
“Humihingi ako ng paumanhin sa MMDA,” Singson said in a phone interview with GMA Integrated News.
Singson offered the handsome reward to the apprehending team.
“Wala dapat above the law,” he added.
Singson was on board the lead vehicle when they were flagged down on EDSA-Cubao.
Singson said he was on his way to a television network for an interview when his two-car convoy was spotted traversing the bus lane.
The drivers were issued tickets for bus lane violation, an offense which carries a fine of P5,000. —NB, GMA Integrated News
