Bren is on top anew.

The Philippines’ AP Bren once again proved its caliber in the global scene, reigning supreme in the Games of the Future 2024 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament with a dominant 3-1 win against rival Onic Esports of Indonesia on Sunday in Kazan, Russia.

Bannered by the same core that ruled the M5 World Championship and MPL Philippines Season 12 as well as the 2023 SEA Games, Bren will take home $350,000 (over P19 million) as they picked up where they left off last year.

Bren immediately asserted its dominance over the Indonesia powerhouse in Game 1, finishing off the clash in just 14 minutes following a five-man wipeout on Onic, 12-2.

It was pretty much the same in Game 2, where Bren took down every turret on Onic’s camp en route to a base tower siege as they took a commanding 2-0 lead despite being two men down. Gold laner Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano (Claude) led the way with a near perfect KDA of seven kills and eight assists against one death.

Onic, which Bren hurdled last December to rule the world championship here, rallied and breathed life back to their campaign by winning Game 3 to extend the match.

But Bren refused to dwell on that loss, pulling off a Game 4 win with another masterful performance from Super Marco, who unleashed a 7/0/3 KDA on his Beatrix as the Philippine bet copped another title.

En route to the throne, Bren swept the group stage with victories against Malaysia’s HomeBois and Twisted Minds of Saudi Arabia. They then swept HomeBois anew in the quarterfinals before overcoming another Indonesia team in RRQ Hoshi in the semifinals.
