The Bureau of Immigration on Sunday reminded underage solo travelers headed for American singer Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Singapore that they needed to secure a clearance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

In a statement, the BI reiterated that a travel clearance and parental consent were required for travelers under 18 who would fly out alone or with a person who was not their parent.

Almost 150,000 Filipino departures were anticipated in the first week of March, the number not yet including Eras Tour attendees from March 2 to 9.

“We are expecting an increase in travelers during the first week of March during the Taylor Swift concert period, and of course as the summer season enters,” said BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

Travelers were also reminded to fill out their e-travel forms 72 hours before departure and to check in three hours before their flight.

The March 2 to 9 Singapore concerts were the only Asian stop for the Eras Tour. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
