Beau Belga erupted for a career-high in carrying Rain or Shine past struggling NorthPort, 115-105, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The veteran big man exploded for a career-high 28 points laced with 13 rebounds, which was a board shy of his career-high in rebounds, seven assists and two steals as the Elasto Painters copped their fifth straight win to improve to 5-4.

Rain or Shine is now the second hottest team in the league, winning their last four games against Terrafima, Blackwater, Converge, and Phoenix after a woeful 0-4 start.

Belga did not have a shortage of support as Jhonard Clarito sparked off the bench with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three assists while rookie Adrian Nocum chipped in 16 markers, three boards, and three dimes.

The loss, however, didn’t only spoil NorthPort’s bounce back bid as it also saw Allyn Bulanadi’s career-high go for naught. The former San Sebastian star poured in a career-best 26 points together with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals

The Batang Pier, who opened their campaign with an impressive 4-1 start, fell to an even 4-4 slate after bowing to Ginebra and Magnolia.
