A Filipino placed third at the 27th Dubai International Holy Quran Contest held in the United Arab Emirates on March 12–23.
According to a statement from the Bangsamoro government, Muzaher Suweb Bito, a 17-year-old from Maguindanao del Sur, landed third out of 70 contestants from different countries in the competition that aims to encourage excellence in Quran memorization.
On Tuesday, Bito received a plaque of recognition from BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim at the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC) in Cotabato City.
