If you think your passion for gardening won’t get you anywhere, think again — Aubrey Miles once sold a plant for a whopping P1 million.
In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” with her husband Troy Montero, the actress said that she is a plantita and that she earned the money during the pandemic.
According to Aubrey, her P1 million plant is called “spiritus sancti.”
“From Brazil kasi siya, from the rainforest na very rare. Hindi mo siya mahahanap na kung basta, na binebenta sa mga ganito. Kailangan mo talaga siyang i-hunt,” she said.
Aubrey said that when she first bought the plant, she let it grow, and then cut or propagate leaves to sell.
“Para mas dumami. Kung binili ko ‘yun ng 1 million, go-grow ko lang siya. Benta ko ng [P300,000], tas yung isa, [P200,000]. Mga ilang leaves lang ‘yun ah. Mga two, ganyan,” Aubrey said.
With these plants, the couple was able to buy properties after the pandemic.
Aside from her plants, Aubrey owns A-Miles Pawnshop. Troy also said that Aubrey is more organized when it comes to finances and that they always communicate about money.
After 18 years of being together, the couple announced their engagement in March 2022.
In June that same year, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
They have two children, Hunter and Rocket. Aubrey also has another son, John Maurie, with ex-boyfriend JP Obligacion. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
