Andi Eigenmann couldn’t help but turn emotional as she thanked the Kapuso friends of her late mom, Jaclyn Jose, who visited her wake on Friday evening.

The former actress’s family received a plaque of sympathy from GMA Network.

“I would just like to take this chance to say thank you in behalf of my nanay’s family,” Andi said. “Thank you to GMA for this, for what you prepared in order to celebrate and commemorate my mom and all her years throughout her career.”

Andi said that it’s no longer a surprise whenever she hears more stories about her mom from those she worked with.

“The more I learn that with her, with her life, it’s not just about going to work, staying with the family, you know? It’s every single bit of her life is always filled and showered with love, may it be for what she does or for the people that she is surrounded with,” she said.

“And again, several nights I’ve been saying this; every night, it warms my heart to know how much everybody loved my mother,” she added. “It’s been helping me so much to see that every single one of you I know, every single one of you because she tells me of all of you … It’s so amazing for me to see how much you guys loved her so much.”

Among those present at Jaclyn’s wake were Alden Richards, Andrea Torres, and directors Gina Alajar and Dominic Zapata.

In his eulogy, Alden said that Jaclyn’s passing took him back to the time when he also lost his mother.

“‘Yung nararamdaman ko po ngayon is the same feeling I felt when my mom left us. Parang bumalik,” he said.

Jaclyn, born Mary Jane Guck, died on March 2 at 60 years old. Andi revealed that she died due to a heart attack.

Jaclyn’s death was first announced by her agency, PPL Entertainment. Her family, through the Philippine National Police, also previously said that there was no foul play involved.

Her other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as “The Flor Contemplacion Story” and “Patay Na Si Hesus.” She also starred in several GMA Network series, including “Marimar,” “The Millionaire’s Wife,” and “D’Originals.”
