The message of Vice President Sara Duterte for the 38th anniversary of the EDSA Revolution posted on Sunday night has been removed from all her social media accounts.
In a now deleted post, Sara urged Filipinos to continue upholding the EDSA spirit and to stand up for what is right.
“On this day, we commemorate the brave souls who stood united on the streets of Edsa, fighting for democracy and freedom,” Sara said in the message that has since been taken down.
“As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us remember the lessons of EDSA—the power of unity, the strength of the Filipino spirit, and the importance of standing up for what is right,” she added.
GMA News Online sought for an explanation from the Vice President but she has yet to respond as of posting.
The Office of the Vice President has also been asked to release an official statement on the matter. —NB/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
