The 8th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 took place between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. It was a festival of runs as both the teams exhibited out-of-the-box batting skills and gave fans everything to cheer about. But in the end, it was PBKS that ended up finishing on the winning side as they won the thriller by 5 runs.
Asked to bat first, PBKS openers Prabhsimran Singh (60) and Shikhar Dhawan took them off the rollicking start as they smashed 90 runs for the opening partnership. After that Jitesh Sharma joined hands with the skipper and the duo made sure that they keep the momentum in their court.

The Southpaw kick-started the innings with a six but after that was back in the hut for 11 runs. The off-spinner didn’t trouble the scorers as Arshdeep Singh took his second wicket with the new ball.
