Wests Tigers have been forced to shoot down rumours of a rift between Tim Sheens and Benji Marshall.
The pair famously won the 2005 premiership together as captain and young playmaker, and have reunited this year to mentor the NRL battlers.
The Tigers have not played finals in a decade and Sheens was brought back last year as football chief to oversee a rebuild, which ultimately led to him sacking Michael Maguire as coach and taking the reigns himself.

Marshall will take over from Sheens in a succession plan after assisting the veteran coach, but rumours claim their relationship has deteriorated even before the 2023 season kicks off.
Tigers forward Alex Twal slapped down the whispers when asked by 9News' Danny Weidler if Sheens and Marshall are "a united front".
"They're pretty much best mates," Twal said.

"They're here every day and always working on getting us better and making sure that we're delivering on the weekend.
"I can't speak highly enough of both of them and what they've done for this club thus far."
The Tigers kick off their season against the Tigers on Sunday.
