Search ongoing for kayaker whose boat flipped in Castaic Lake
Officials are searching for a kayaker whose boat tipped over on Castaic Lake on Sunday afternoon, June 1.
Officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded just after 12:30 p.m. to a call that two kayakers had flipped over in the middle of the lake.
Crews located one of the kayakers with no injuries.
As the search continued for the other kayaker, fire officials called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to investigate as a possible drowning. Officials remained at the lake as of about 6:30 p.m. with lifeguard dive crews searching for the kayaker.
