San Pedro pursuit ends in crash, injures 6
A Los Angeles Police Department pursuit of a reportedly stolen vehicle ended quickly, when the driver crashed at Ocean Avenue and 19th Street in San Pedro.
The driver attempted to flee police officers at Ocean Avenue and 19th Street, but crashed the vehicle at the same location.
At least three cars were involved in the crash.
At the scene, the1900 block of South Pacific Avenue, six patients were identified by officials with L.A. City Fire. Two patients, a 25-year-old male and 35-year-old female, were transported by paramedics in serious condition. Four others refused transport, including two individuals in minor condition and a 50-year-old male and 60-year-old female, according to Lyndsey Lantz, a spokesperson for the L.A. City Fire Department.
One person was in custody, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Harbor division, but further details about the individual’s involvement and charges were not immediately available.
