PCW pushes communication strategy upgrade
THE Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) has requested assistance from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) in refining its communication strategy.
In a letter dated April 2, 2025, addressed to PCO Ad Interim Secretary Jaybee Ruiz, PCW Chairman Ermelita Valdeavilla said there is a need to develop a forward-thinking strategic communication plan for the agency's initiatives for the next three years.
She added that as the government's oversight agency for gender-responsive governance and women's empowerment, the PCW recognizes the critical role of impactful messaging on issues such as women's economic empowerment, protection against gender-based violence, and political representation.
A revamped PCW communication strategy, Valdeavilla said, aligns with the government's commitment to gender mainstreaming and the full implementation of the Magna Carta of Women.
