Go leads final preelection surveys
REELECTIONIST Sen. Bong Go consistently emerged as top favorite in several surveys, five days before the May 12 midterm polls.
The noncommissioned Pulso ng Pilipino survey was conducted by The Issues and Advocacy Center from April 28 to May 3, among 1,800 respondents with ages 18 years old and above.
The respondents represented ABC, D and E social classes, as well as all educational levels.
It showed Go likely to finish on top of the 12-man senatorial race.
Joining Go in the Magic 12 were two other PDP-Laban candidates, two independent bets and seven candidates from the administration's Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas.
Go was on top with 59 percent, followed by former Senate president Vicente Sotto III with 54 percent, reelectionist Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa with 49.3 percent, erstwhile leader and ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo with 47.6 percent and Sen. Pia Cayetano, 45.7 percent.
Rounding up the top 12 were Makati Mayor Abby Binay (43 percent), Sen. Francis Tolentino (42.7 percent), Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar (40 percent), Sen. Imee Marcos (39.9 percent), Ben Tulfo (39 percent), former senator Panfilo Lacson (38 percent) and party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta (35 percent).

Lito Lapid (30 percent), Sen. Bong Revilla (27 percent) and former senator Manny Pacquiao (23.4 percent).
