Duterte leads early survey for 2028 polls
EVEN if it is three years early, public opinion research firm WR Numero on Monday night said Vice President Sara Duterte and Sen. Grace Poe lead its noncommissioned survey of preferences for the 2028 presidential elections.
Conducted Feb. 10 to 18, Duterte led the presidential survey with 29 percent voter preference, followed by Sen. Raffy Tulfo (19 percent) and former vice president Leni Robredo (12 percent), while 23 percent of voters are undecided who they want to vote for.
Other candidates on the list of presidential choices are Poe (4 percent), former senator Manny Pacquiao (3 percent), Sens. Imee Marcos (3 percent) and Robin Padilla (2 percent), Speaker Martin Romualdez (1 percent) and Sen. Risa Hontiveros (1 percent).
Three percent of voters did not have anyone on the list as their preference for president.
Poe was the leading choice for vice president at 19 percent, but 33 percent were undecided.
Robredo, Pacquiao, Padilla, Marcos, Romualdez, Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri, and Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro are also on the list.
WR Numero said they interviewed a nationally representative sample of 1,814 Filipino adults, with a ±2 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level.
