Agoura High School student gets the highest possible ACT score of 36
Garin Lieblich, a junior at Agoura High School, earned the highest possible ACT Composite score of 36, which puts him in an elite group of test-takers. According to school officials, “only about one-quarter of 1% of students who take the ACT earn a perfect score.”
ACT stands for American College Testing — a standardized test used by many colleges and universities to assess a high school student’s readiness for college coursework.
“I’m excited to attend college and have that experience,” Garin said. He says his goal is to graduate from college with a degree in chemical engineering. But he’s “also open to other areas of study in engineering or the sciences.”
He adds, “I’m looking forward to exploring the next chapter of my life and see where my curiosity leads.”
Garin also got a perfect score on the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) and he has a GPA, or grade point average, of 4.38.
Garrett Lepisto, the principal at Agoura High School, said in a prepared statement, “His achievements reflect his determination, intellectual curiosity, and the supportive learning environment at AHS. We couldn’t be prouder of him.”
