THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) announced late on Friday that 44 repatriates from Israel have arrived.
According to the DMW, this batch consisted of 36 female overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), six male workers and two dependents.
The OWWA said the Filipinos arrived through Emirates flight EK 332 at 3:31 p.m. and were greeted by an airport team from both agencies, led by DMW-National Capital Region Director Ace Millar.
All OFW repatriates received financial assistance under the DMW's Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFW na Nangangailangan Fund and livelihood assistance from OWWA, along with financial assistance, food, and transportation assistance and hotel accommodation.
According to the OWWA, this is the 34th batch of Filipinos who have returned from Israel, following the conflict between their forces and the armed group Hamas.
