278 AFP officials seek CA confirmation
A NEW batch of senior officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are waiting for confirmation from the Commission on Appointments (CA).
Surigao del Sur 2nd District Rep. Johnny Pimentel, who sits on the CA, said on Sunday the commission received the appointment papers of 278 newly promoted officers.
Leading the batch is Maj. Gen. Rommel Roldan, who was promoted to lieutenant general.
Roldan is the AFP deputy chief of staff for personnel.
Among the other appointees are Major Generals Edwin Amadar, Benedict Balaba, Donald Gumiran, Francisco Lorenzo Jr., Michael Samson, and Elmer Suderio; Rear Admiral Karl Decapia; Brigadier Generals Onorlie Brillantes, Ricky Bunayog, Edgar Catu, Bayani Curaming, Patrick De Villa, Billy Dela Rosa, Danilo Dupiag, Romell Allan Genete, Dean Mark Mamaril, Vicente Naldoza Jr., Eugenio Julio Osias IV, Nhel Richard Patricio, Nestor Pedro, Melencio Ragudo, Erwin Salibad, and Enrico Yuzon; Commodores Sergio Bartolome, Zosimo Bolaños Jr., Joselito De Guzman, Lued Lincuna, Jeff Rene Nadugo, Edwin Nera, and Charles Merric Villanueva.
