2 killed in fiery crash on 5 Freeway in Sylmar
Two occupants of a Jeep died after crashing into the rear of a trailer attached to a truck tractor on the 5 Freeway on Thursday night in Sylmar, authorities said.
Just before 10:45 p.m. on May 29, the California Highway Patrol responded to a call of a multiple-vehicle crash on the northbound 5 freeway, just south of the Roxford Street exit, according to a news release.
After crashing into the trailer, the gray Jeep Grand Cherokee erupted in flames.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
