Mexico's Senate approves reform introducing election of judges despite protester invasion
Mexico's Senate on Wednesday approved a constitutional reform introducing popular election of judges with 86 votes in favour and 41 against. The debate over the proposed law had to be paused after a wave of protesters breached the senate building, forcing lawmakers to resume the debate in a different building.
