De La Salle University overcame Adamson University, 17-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-22, to forge a three-way tie on the top spot of the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The win of the Lady Spikers brought them to 10-2, tied with University of Santo Tomas and National University.
A three-way tie will be broken by points, while the head-to-head results will break a tie between two teams.
Shevana Laput had 24 points, while Thea Gagate had 12 points in the Taft-based squad’s victory.
Jen Villegas had 16 points for the also-ran Lady Falcons which slipped to 3-9.
Meanwhile, Far Eastern University defeated University of the East, 25-19, 25-15, 22-25, 25-16, to boost its bid for a twice-to-beat advantage.
The Lady Tamaraws improved to 8-4 while UE went down to 2-10.
